George French Angas (25 April 1822 - 4 October 1886)
Angas was an English explorer, naturalist and painter. He travelled to South Africa in 1846 where he spent two years in Natal and the Cape, working on a series of drawings and water-colours, which were published in 1849.
This drawing was titled“Umnonoti River in Natal”.
