Thomas Baines (27 November 1820 - 8 May 1875)

Baines was an English artist and explorer. He came to Southern Africa aboard the “Olivia”. In 1858 Baines accompanied the famous David Livingstone along the Zambezi, and was one of the first cucasians to view Victoria Falls.
